Luma – Tiny lampshade that turns your smartphone into a night light

Sometimes we stumble across a product that makes us wonder why no-one thought about this idea a long time ago.

The Luma night light is such a product, simple yet genius. Keep it in your pocket, purse or nightstand and when needed you simply clip it on to your iPhone or Android smartphone (thanks to the flexible design it is compatible with with just about any model on the market). Now when you turn on the flashlight, instead of getting a bright LED light that is no good for reading and will for sure disturb anyone else in the room trying to sleep, you will get a much cozier, slightly dimmed light instead. Great for reading or just finding the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking innocent people up.

This innovative smartphone lamp is a collaboration between Peleg Design (from whom we already have a great selection of original home decor) and Holon Institute of Technology in Israel.
